Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson
So what is the latest buzz with multimillionaire Jessica Simpson and her intended Eric Johnson. Well we all know that he is a successful NFL foot ball player. But why would she agree to put her $100 million fortune at risk by not signing a prenuptial agreement. Heaven only knows but rumor has it that her father and business manager "Joe" is worried. Although they have been dating for 6 months the proposal came just days ago when Eric gave her a beautiful engagement ring. Maybe that was just a down payment on the millions he hopes to get should their marriage go south.
Nick Lachey was the singer/actress's first husband. He received 10 million for his efforts in a bad marriage. So what does a handsome football player got to loose with an expensive bejewelled engagement ring. Well the father, who has more than a paternal interest as business manager, is remaining calm as he announced on Twitter, "So very happy for Jess and Eric. May they have a lifetime of joy and happiness." What his real feelings are about his "romance first -business second" daughter, may surface later. Meanwhile Miss Jessica remains adamant in her refusal to present Eric with a prenup.
One thing is for sure: "She's got talent. Lots and lots of talent" and at only thirty should continue to rake in the dough. So maybe she will get lucky this time and Eric will prove to be a good "Bow" and stick in there longer than Lachey. Her marriage to Lachey ended June 2006 and it is time for her to get back onto the "playing field" with this football star.
An interesting side note about Miss Simpsons former husband Nick Lachey, is that he reported wedding plans with Vanessa Minnillo. Nick and Vanessa were engaged just 2 weeks before the latest announcement by Jessica Simpson of her intention to marry Eric Johnson. This is what Jessica said about her X on a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest :
"Our relationship was over a really long time ago, and it would be nice if everyone could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa. I do, and I wish them nothing but the best."
So lets look at the newest guy on the block, Mr. Johnson.
Eric Maxwell Johnson
(born September 15, 1979 in Needham, Massachusetts) is an American football tight end who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Yale University. He has also played football with the New Orleans Saints.
Miss Simpson first associated with Mr. Johnson while he was separated from his wife Keri Johnson. There marriage ended in October. The newly engaged couple are planning to be together in New York City where she will participate in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
